DU Album of the Day: "Breakfast in America" Supertramp

At last, our long national nightmare ended, Supertramp brings in an album to wash the late taste of disco from our musical palates. Abbreviated post today, except to note that one of the sound effects in "Logical Song" was the double-whistle tweet from Mattel's hand-held football game, on which I attained a form of unbeatability in that I could hold the ball for the entirety of a half before scoring on the last play.

is one of the great moments in pop-rock. Or is it a tenor sax? I never have been quite sure.

That got me wondering so I had to look that up. Still don't know and Wiki is a little vague about it.

EDIT: My daughter says it's a soprano saxophone. (she plays the clarinet).

I wore this one out, bought another one. That was stolen. Bought the cassette. Car ate it. Bought the CD. Now...it's on my iTunes.

It never gets old.

I'm listening to Supertramp's Crime of the Century album through my computer. I've got the vinyl Breakfast in America but haven't listened to it for a while. Think I'll do that tonight when I sit down to pay the bills.
