It has been only 26 day, I know, but I still can't take his ring off.

People keep rolling their eyes at me, but I just can't!

My sister was wanting to strangle me due to a biker ( a cute biker, I admit) giving me the once over and there was the ring, I had it on and it turned him off.

I really don't care, I am not ready for that. But my sister #1 does not understand. I can't take the ring off yet and I have no wish to put myself out there like that!

Why are some of my family members pushing so hard? I really do hurt to much for going out there and looking for anything in that department.

Acknowledge the fact that they have their reasons for pushing you, sometimes not always in your best interest, then brush it all aside and go with your gut. You can't rush things like this, take it at your own pace. You've been dealt a heavy emotional blow and it will take time to get back on your feet 100%, that's normal. Don't beat yourself up about it taking time and try not to let your family get under your skin too much about it.

I have a plan to get on my feet and get back to Tucson in time. I know what In need and how much to save. I know what to do.

But they are doing there best to tell me to forget it. That I should just settle down and stop Dreaming.

It is one of many arguments we have had in the past. They tried to talk me out of college because they thought it stupid. Certain ones pushed to try and get me on SSI due to depression that being around them caused. The Doctor told me it is better not to be around them.

But here I am. They have not changed. And they seem to know what I need.

Thank GOD I got that job to get me started out of here!

If you feel the need to keep it ion then keep it. There is a mourning period and you are still going through that.

so don't let its power keep you down. Wearing a ring is also a habit and habits can be changed.

So, how about taking it slow? Starting by increments? Wearing the ring on the other hand for a while. Find a project (like kneading bread dough or something equally messy) that requires you to take it off -- be slow about putting it back on.

It wasn't easy for me to take off my wedding rings. He left me; I wasn't ready for a divorce. But I did take them off. I gave them to my daughter (an adult). I didn't know until much later that he had given her his wedding ring, too. So both of them are in her jewelry box.

It does get better over time. You'll find that nice coffee shop, you'll make new friends, and you have a job that will require your attention.
