Many years ago, I had a Thunderbird and wanted to see just how fast it could go. So late one night, I got onto the Palmetto Expressway in Miami and hit the gas. I was going 120 when I passed a highway patrol car. Well, of course, he pulled me over. Fortunately, I was not too far from a hospital. I told the cop that my sister was in an accident and I was in a rush to get to that hospital. He fell for it, but he followed me all the way to the hospital and left when I pulled into the parking lot.

Cop: You ever go fishing?

My buddy: Sure, lots of times.

Cop: You ever catch ALL the fish in the river?

If he gives you a ticket take it then leave.

I never lied to a cop and have gotten away with not getting a ticket more then once.

and I even agree that the ticket was probably warrented

but

"This wasn't personal, it was a matter of law. The violation happened in my presence, so I made the arrest," he said.
On Sunday, Cummings went to Williams' home in Nashua and he brought a copy of her father's obituary.

don't try to tell me it wasn't personal when you bring the copy of the obituary with you. The dead guy had nothing to do with arresting her for suspended registration so why even bother getting an explanation if you weren't there just because she made you mad?

The son of a friend of mine was rushing to hospital with a work colleague who had had a nasty accident. A motor cycle cop rode up beside him and motioned for him to pull over to the side. The driver pointed to the guy in the passenger seat who had blood all over his face. The cop put on his lights and siren and cleared the way to the (only major) hospital in the area.

Once they reached the hospital, the cop immediately rode away. The driver and his passenger didn't have the chance to say "Thank you".

OT, I know, but many cops have compassion.

because she told him she was in such a hurry, he just checked that her license was good and let her go. They don't always run the tags right away.
