3. No..no backup...and 400GB of data

and yes as an IT person I know better...it took just over 48hrs with Diskwarrior to recover 400GB data onto an external USB drive...for some reason it would not use my Firewire port..

It's covered by Applecare...but I still needed my data outta there some how..
