AH!!!!!!!! I took Naproxen the day before the Drug test and now I find out it can casuse a False ...

Positive!!

I took Naproxen Sodium 220 mg the day before the test ( at least I hope it was not less than that much time). I think I put the wrong phone number down since I could not bring in my cell phone to check. They had a sign say no cell phone beyond this point and had a security gut there asking people to surrender them till they left.

Now I don't know if that is why they are not calling me back! I am so scared now!

I looked up on line and found that it is known to cause a false positive! But my sis says she that she went through this before and they will check it again to make sure it is not Naproxen.

But I am so scared for my job now. I should have just kept the back pain!

As long as you can bring in a bottle with a prescription label on it, you're fine even with opiates. Warpy Aug 2013 #3

This job can help me pay back everyone, get me some wheels and can get me back to Tucson!

This is so important to me.

The only prescribed drug they've been able to get away with being stuffy over is grass.

If you're taking the OTC drug, just bring in that bottle.

that they need to throw out the whole business. It's nothing but hazing, anyway, humiliating people on the way to a job or benefits.

However, powerless people get off on humiliating other powerless people so I guess we're stuck with this unreasonable search of our urine.

Aleve tests positive as methamphetamine in the "roadside" drug-identification kits law enforcement use to identify suspect drugs found in searches of cars, houses and people. It can also cause false THC positives in urine-metabolite tests but only at dosages in the prescription-strength range.

Poppy seeds test positive for opioid drugs (opium or laudanum, not the more-refined heroin as widely-believed) and false-fail more people every year.

Most employer drug-tests are not actually tested anyways as it costs too much money, labs will perform collections cheaply however and people who would fail hang themselves up in one of three ways:

1.) They don't show up to take the test they'd fail.

2.) They take the test they'd fail and then through odd panicky behavior or attempts to rationalize, explain or cover for their failed test, they give themselves away.

3.) They get caught cheating. Even on non-test collections, the tester notes the water-content and temperature of the specimen...if either is off, the sample is flagged as suspect. Alternately, they get caught trying to use a fake penis, tubing, blind-catheter or rarely something as dumb as an eyedropper on observed tests.

cross check for false positives by looking at metabolites. It's a well known false positive that is consistently checked now.

No need to worry.
