The three little birdies getting fed--I have always wanted to see a mama flying in to feed her young ones. And they look so crabby--I guess 'cuz they're hungry. Anyway, very cute, sweet.
Door knob--cool. Urm, creepy. Would be great for Halloween.
The caption for "hamster" was perfect. Or was the "expression" and "body language" perfect?
Ahh, Sunday morning is perfect now. Thanks SCE!

(14,881 posts)I was up late last night looking at horse pix and videos. My fave was a toddler leading an arabian stallion around, and then sitting on him bareback.
Love all the baby animals and the giraffe, but the toddler hugging the horsey, well !
I remember a few decades ago when I visited an 8 year old arabian who shared his paddock with a toddler. He was the "babysitter;" toddler and his toy trucks sat on the ground in the in the middle of the paddock...under the horse's belly! They are such caretakers!
SalmonChantedEvening
(31,950 posts)I'm guessing that to the horse, the toddler was just a different looking foal that needed love and protection. We could learn a lot from them.

(32,006 posts)So what do you think about Charlie Manuel getting fired despite leaving behind a great legacy?
Meanwhile, Philadelphia is going to be free from the collective noise pollution known as Hate Radio as its local Rush Limbaugh/Sean Hannity/Mark Levin affiliate WWIQ is flipping to Christian music!
And what did you think of the dog modeling menswear video I posted last week?
Here are some more cute cat, dog, bunny, and lizard vids!
SalmonChantedEvening
(31,950 posts)Loved the videos, although I've never been big on dressing ours up, which would explain why any pics I post are captioned with threats of mayhem on hoomans.
Seeing Charlie go is sad, but it's what usually happens when a team goes south like we have. Two years of mediocre play, inconsistent hitting, and injuries to key players took their toll. Let's hope they give Sandberg a couple of years to turn it around, if he wants to stay on the job.
Philly has AM radio? Who knew.
Have a great evening and week!

(246 posts)I keep a pencil and paper here next to my PC to takes notes but this week the notes just went on and on. So my favorites have had to be reduced to fewer words ...
Two kittehs tilted heads
Grumpy Cat
Baby burro
Toddler and horse BFF
***Seal pup OMG***
The collection this week ... the entire collection ... just clicked. Hope you knew that when you tapped SEND.
SalmonChantedEvening
(31,950 posts)I knew I had some good pics, the Alien one in particular. The baby burro, and the horse and baby picture I knew were guaranteed AWW stuff. But I'm never really sure, I just go with what makes me laugh or squeee, and hope it resonates. Mother Hen forever.
When they do click, I can sit back and smile, but by Wednesday, I'm clucking again.
May it always be so. Have a great evening and week.

(6,671 posts)I especially like the German Shepherd not sleeping on the doggy bed. After our 10 pound chihuahua/pug mix Leo passed this May, we went to the Shelter and got adopted by a German Shepard mix.
Bodie is his name and he prefers the floor to the doggy bed. The shelter said that he is German Shepherd/Akita ... but he definitely German Shepherd and some lab. He just does exactly the same thing. He likes our cool tile floors ... I went out and bought a comfy, thick, large doggy bed ... hopefully, he'll use it more when it is cooler. He is 10 month old and weighing already 60 pounds ... the vet said "he is going to be a big boy" ...
It was 103 degrees and the tile floor was just fine for him.
Thanks, SalmonChantedEvening! I am really looking forward to your post every Sunday! I hope you know how much your Sunday LOL cats (and other critters) are appreciated.
