I see vendors at craft shows & conventions with them, not to mention seeing them at every store everywhere.
Where do you buy them?
When I've asked, the answer has always been "Um. They just sort of sent it to me."
Well, "they" didn't sort of send it to me, so where to go from here?
Try searching for "credit card sign" online and you'll get a brazillian hits.

(63,086 posts)Most of what I'm seeing online are overly ornate signs that I expect would simply be overlooked on a vendor's table.
I've seen simple signs that are a simple piece of angled plastic that features the Visa & Mastercard logos, with or without AMEX & Discover and a brief "we accept credit cards" message. That's the kind I'm hoping to get.
Amazon abounds with retro-looking signs of the style you'd see in a 19th century barber shop, but they're a bit short on the simple, straightforward designs!

(20,176 posts)I've had to buy them before, usually it took a lot of online hunting...but what size am I hunting for? (Comparables follow.)
4x5" (large notecard)
3x9" (bumper sticker)
9x11" (sheet of paper)
Larger? I've seen them up to flag-sized and printed on metal or cloth. Also in sticker and window-decal form.

I live in a small town of 2,000 in Northern Ontario - have for years.
NEVER have I gone into a store that didn't take both.
I think the signs are unnecessary now,
Sorta like "No Smoking" signs all over.
Need new signs, save a few $$ . .
"Smoking Permitted Here"
Many fewer signs methinks.

(63,086 posts)We do six or seven shows per year, and every day of these event at least a dozen people ask if we take credit cards. That suggests to me that at least as many more are wondering without asking, so we'd like to have a little sign to answer the question.
We could print one, of course, but that might look more amateurish than we'd want, especially if all of our neighbors have fancy plastic ones.
Incidentally, in the past two weeks I've been in three small stores/shops that don'f take cards, and none of them had posted signs about it, either. As a result, I was standing at the register with card in hand and wasn't able to complete the transaction.
Granted, these weren't Walmart-sized businesses, but then again neither are we. IMO it would be better to elimante the uncertainty before it becomes a possible hindrance to sales.

(12,581 posts)You can often find them at restaurant supply stores, or perhaps a frame shop like Aaron Brothers. It's usually seen as a restaurant table frame - you know, the one that usually gets in the way of either the drinks or the condiments...
But the photo-quality notice in a restaurant table lucite frame is the way the food truck and farmer's market people I know handle payment notices (and other things like product information); they usually use Square to process credit cards and don't get anything from the bank or credit card company.
I suppose if you have your business account handled through a bank, they might provide you with a payment info. plaque as part of the service.
