If you believe Woody, get ready to pack up that winter parka 6 weeks early.

Michigan's official groundhog, Woody, predicted this morning in Howell that we will get an early spring.

In front of a crowd of more than 100 people at the Howell Nature Center, Woody walked out of her home in a tree stump and stayed in the spotlight for 30 seconds.

As the crowd quickly counted down, it looked like Woody wanted to make a mad dash back inside, meaning we'd be in store for six more weeks of winter, but luckily for those warm weather fans she stayed put. ................(more)
