40th anniversary of my fathers death in England-any clue how I can get records or any news clippings

http://www.democraticunderground.com/10023550070

This is a thread I started earlier-

I strongly suspect my Stepmother had something to do with his death. While I'm pretty sure there is no way to prove it I'd like to know what I can about the actual facts regarding his "accident" .

I have contacted the local authorities. I was told the archives are not easily searched for the time-period.

If anyone knows how I can get archival information I'd really appreciate the help. I'm specifically looking for his death/medical records or news clippings from England that date back to the 1970's??

I have most of the details as far as date/area & there is even a memorial grave in a Churchyard that was featured in the BBC "Day Out" series

I did not know about the 2nd grave till 2 years ago so yeah my family basically sucks in that regard. I'm not going to get any further asking them. But it would be nice to know what was reported. There was also a delay with his body being released-and the details of why were always sketchy.

So here's to the infinite power of the intertubes-may it be of use here somehow...

and then contact them. They ought to have archives. (I worked for a number of papers during my journalism career, although only in the U.S.) They might even be interested in your perspective for a story.

Also contact local libraries.
