Just had a CFL gutter and die.

First time...EVER.

Quick google search told me that both the local Home Depot and Lowe's will take them.

Heavy use stove top one.

I've used the pigtails since they came out. Always replacing an existing light with a CFL.

But I have moved quite a bit since 2000ish. Been landed here 4 1/2 years.

And costlier, for now, but last 4 to 5 times longer.

So now I'm replacing my CFLs with LEDs when they go out.

Not many incandescents left in my place!

Don't expect many more CFL failures soon. Stovetop is harshest use of the house....period. Not only more use since it is often a nightlight. But there is also the high temp/steam exposure.
