Here comes the sun... the Beatles
Dancing in the street....Martha and the Vandellas
Back in the High Life.... Steve Winwood
Many others, but these come to mind....And, yes, I actually DO listen to more current music--much that I like... but I can't say any come readily to mind when you say "feel happy."

(102,228 posts)I used to ski to his "Back in the High Life" and/or "Chronicles" albums on a walkman. I don't know what it was about it, but I always skied well above my abilities when the title song and Higher Love came on..."Roll with it" is a favorite as well.
Now those were some happy memories.

The "Jumpin' Jack Flash/Youngblood" medley performed by Leon Russell on the Concert For Bangladesh album. Not only is it a seamless merging of two classic songs, it's the most kickass version of either song that I've ever heard.
(edited to add link - enjoy!)

(82,849 posts)We sing "Gentle Shepherd" at the close of the communal prayer in church, which is usually followed by special music selected and played by our pianist. I've often thought "Gentle Shepherd" would flow quite naturally into "Bellavia."
