I'd be looking for cotton mouths before I got in. It's beautiful but a little too organic for my phobic self.

water snakes (they live and thrive in a nearby in a pond)... along with lots of alligators. Where there's water... they go. And they stay. The toads would start breeding there. Now that I wouldn't mind.

We never swim in the pond, and when dogs do, it's bye-bye doggie.

I grew up in the South and so I equate natural water with danger.

When I was 6 a pond over hang I was standing on collapsed. I found myself in opaque red brown water 100 ft away from the bank. I had to swim across that water where I'd seen countless moccasins skating across, and where I also knew there were giant alligator turtles. On top of that the only place I could get out was where we'd hunted for craw daddies, big black ones. omg. I shudder at the memory.

I can't imagine! having to also worry about alligators. We need our chlorinated clear water down south!

In healthy biological systems the benign microorganisms tend to eat the nasties.

Personally I'd worry more about a poorly maintained chemically disinfected pool than I would this.

The latest standards of care for public pools are incredibly strict, and usually met with systems using automated salt water chlorination, carbon dioxide pH control, and continuous monitoring.

Casino-run pools in Las Vegas are especially keen on the continuous monitoring because they are often the target of lawsuits.

The usual home, motel, or apartment pool is not that well controlled.

I'd sooner jump into this pool then some of the pools I've seen at apartments or motels.

Those chairs are all facing the wrong way...look at that mountain view...wow...If I lived there I would regret having to go to work and leaving such a relaxing home...Monday mornings must be hell

An old friend of my cousin has lived in Hawaii for years, and while looking up a sister of an old friend on Facebook I saw his photo, and he had this as his cover photo. I thought he might have built it, but I still don't know! He didn't comment about the photo.

Here are photos of a few more natural pools, along with that one. They really remind me of photos I've seen of the very clear springs in Florida.

to keep it looking nice. Everybody from all around this area come to my house to swim. The water is cooler than a swimming pool and room to swim. If I had the money I would put in a water slide.
