when I was a kid. And then I saw the beautiful Butchard Gardens quarry. I was blown away. I want one of my own some day but sadly will likely never own a house and garden of my own.

The night skies out there,... are wild, whether it's a full moon or a moonless one there is something so special. A moonless night on a windless time out on a canoe.... the stars are reflected below you. oh, the beauty.
other than that I like my wild backyard. no grass, please. I have vines and plants that can survive our cruel winter weather and it's a growing jungle each year.

Which was the location of the fabulously eccentric movie Nude on the Moon

Other than that, my favorite places in the world are the Southwestern U.S.A. and Northwestern Mexico deserts.

(2,299 posts)There's a little town in Arkansas, Eureka Springs, tucked away in the mountains, with lots of little springs. It's a tourist town, but I've loved it for decades and I secretly would like to live there. The sound of wind in the trees just does something to me, when I hear that rushing rustling sound I get shivers and thrills up and down my back.
