2. Hit 104 here yesterday in southern IA,

shattered the old high temp record for this time of year. Supposed to be closer to normal in a couple of days. Now if we could just get some rain. The last we had was in June.

North and South of us are getting plenty though.

quit, quit, quit.
Rained north of us and kept the rivers up, but it quit raining around my part of Iowa (near Iowa City) about 2 months ago.
Almost the same as last year only a couple weeks later.

And today the humidity on one site said 8% - I don't think I have ever seen such a low humidity.
