Face Off fans??

I usually watch every Tuesday, but I won't post any spoilers without warning in case you DVR it.

I grew up on Fangoria. Becoming a horror and sf movie make-up artist was one of my early aspirations. I'd love to be able to talk about the contestants and their work with a few folks.

If you're a fan, check in.

Savini, IIRC, was a combat medic in Vietnam. So you can see where he got his inspiration. nomorenomore08 Sep 2013 #10

Hard to believe they can create some of their pieces so fast. It would be great fun to know all those materials so well and be able to manipulate them.

Wish I could discuss this year with you.

I wish they'd have Tom Savini on there. They're always bringing accomplished makeup artists on the show and claiming "This guy/gal wrote the book on the subject.!"

Well, Tom Savini actually did. I'd like to see him on the show...

I wonder if he's patented or copyrighted techniques and gets paid for their use.

How cool is that? Did his own old-age makeup...

I really liked his NOTLD remake too. I thought it was smart, and he's the only one who could have done it.

My husband & I have watched each season. Just actually watched this weeks episode tonight. Was disappointed by who went home

I'm a huge horror and fantasy fan and I'm just in awe of all the artists. Was glad to see some of my favorites back this season but now it's hard to pick who I want to root to win!

I was also very disappointed.

I thought the bottom three were right, but I think Eddie should have gone. He had no vision, no direction, no commitment, and on the face,no make up.

RJ' s was not great, but he knows who he is. He made real choices. And his ultimate character was not the worst. I will miss him. It would have been fun to see him take on more challenges. For Eddie, it's just a matter of time, unless he just suddenly matures.

Just my opinion.

about RJ. He's known for whimsical characters (like the Tim Burton Challenge) which I think was what he was going for. I liked his idea...when I originally heard the challenge I immediately thought about Mother Nature in "year without a santa claus" with the bird's nest hat. That's what I felt he was going for. I thought Glenn's remarks were unnecessarily harsh.

I was hoping the final four would be tate, laura, roy and RJ. Guess it could still be 3 out of 4
