Look! I just made some pants by hand!

they're loungey scrub pants. I got a sewing machine a few months ago, have no idea what I'm doing and basically fucking around with it.

Tonight I decided to make my husband some scrub/loungey pants with some fabric I got for a buck at Ikea.

Whatddya think?

I can't pass up $1 for 3 yards of fabric, even if it is from Ikea and hideous

Years ago I found an old treadle operated Singer like my grandmother taught me to use.

And I still use it but I haven't made anything as remarkable as those pants!

I have some fabric left over, not enough for a shirt, but I can cut out some of the eyes and make a purse or something

I think they're cool. Original and made with love. Can't get much better than that.

If you sew a tab of fabric on each end of that drawstring, it will keep the ends from fraying and save you a lot of restringing.
