6. The Trees are calling my name, I've got to find out why ...

7. Hug a Tree...I did...and asked others to hug it too....

It was a beautiful fall day...20 years ago..more or less..2 or 3 years....perfect weather.....so I had this U.S History Class that I was teaching..and I said we are going outside for a short walk..never done before, never since. (I retired many years ago) .So I took them outside...In a park surrounding the school..and I said..today ..if you want, we are going to hug a tree..some of them hugged the tree and some of them thought it was completely crazy..then we came back to the class..and well....continued...About 15 years later I was at a fast food place and this tall strong looking fellow in his late 20s or whatever.., who I didn't know, came up to me and said...are you so and so...and I said yes, you are the teacher who had us hug a tree that day. I said yes, and gradually recalled that person..I wonder ..if anyone else remembers that???..oh well........................... Oh..I forgot...I like trees......
