Usually not rainy, temps are in the 80's, the humidity has lifted considerably, sky is brilliant blue, and the leaves are colorful.
Perfect time to grow a garden of cooler loving plants.

People from the northern tier of the US would like to flee the winters,
I would like to flee the summers down here.

I chose Autumn, I just wanted to specify that my favorite season is the one from late Summer to early Autumn.

Like from mid August to mid October

Everything is just so golden and mellow.

It's the mildness of spring without all the pollen, plus the leaves look nicer multicolored rather than green. All that plus the comfort of knowing the stifling mugginess of summer is that much further away.

Fall and spring are OK, but give me the cold weather. I rejoice when weather people on TV predict 30s and 40s. I"ll take those temps rather than 80s and 90s.

It is so fleeting here that it becomes very special. Even today, before the leaves are fully turned, some parts of town got snow. Winter's on its way.
