(18,705 posts)I am liking the show but I am not a big fan.
Until this marathon I have never watched an episode.
I do know that Sunday is the last night.
It is a interesting show, I do like the main actor.
I am more of a Walking Dead fan.
The marathon is now on the 3rd season episode 13.
I am still learning about this show, all five seasons is a lot to take in on one weekend.

(10,000 posts)From The Street:
The best commercials for Coca-Cola, Geico and other Berkshire subsidiary products were shown, and there was also a wonderful video parody of "Breaking Bad" which saw Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul reprising their roles as Walter White and Jesse Pinkman. Instead of cooking up meth, the drug-dealing duo opts to focus on peanut brittle, and Warren appears at their motor home in the desert and offers to buy out their peanut-brittle business. They have a stare-down -- and Warren, of course, wins and buys their company. He calls Charlie Munger after the deal is agreed to and Charlie's response is priceless: "Brittle, bitches!"

Remember the kudzu thread.
I know more about kudzu then I ever wanted to know.

(49,445 posts)More specifically, a spool of thread shot out of her sewing machine while she was making clothes for newborn orphans in Sierra Leone.
It took almost a week before she died in the hospital. She never came to. My grandfather read her the local paper, cover to cover (except the classifieds; those he picked through) so she would keep up with community events. He would die two months later, of acute loneliness.
They didn't find his body for 3 days. You have any idea how bad a body decomposes when it's locked in a tiny house in Illinois in late July?
It was a closed-casket funeral; the mortician couldn't reassemble his face right after it bloated and then exploded.
So, how'd I do?

(19,361 posts)Fortunately I ran into (literally, he was crossing the street and I hit him with my H2 Hummer) this nice asian wood carver. After he was released from the ER I took him to a show at Radio City Music Hall to kinda make up for running him over. He was very grateful and offered to make dinner for us both with the main course being cornflake crusted chicken. I must admit that the chicken was the best I had ever had, but what really impressed me were the hundreds of hours of old tapes he had of his days as a radio host. He had been part of a team with a remarkable woman (that he swore was not his wife) and we listened to these tapes until the sun came up.
I'll never forget my little friend, and will always think of him as I last saw him, squatting on the floor of his apartment carving little busts of Andy Warhol out of discarded table legs.

(4,243 posts)I was just there and I found an Olive Garden that let me breastfeed my pitbulls while changing my kid's diaper on the table. I talked them into adding a delicious cornflake crusted chicken to their menu and eliminating all beverages except water. Olive Garden rocks!

It'll happen again here, you'll see.

(20,277 posts)I used to kill threads off at an alarming rate. You can always think of it as having the last word, and be all smug about it.

(6,261 posts)Admit it: you saw my post and it sucked all the energy out of you. You only replied so that I wouldn't have the last word. I know how this works.
Whoa 1999 posts. I gotta think of something significant to say next.

(20,277 posts)I pondered, and worried and wondered for a good 30 seconds.
Let Ron have the last word.
Are you nuts - don't let Ron have the last word.
I'm hoping for a 'wisdom of the ages' type post for your 2,000.

How was that?
