Rain and wind. Stay safe.

1. Yes we are!

Lots of rain and more wind expected this evening. Typical November windstorm in September. With leaves still on the trees, the wind is really packing a punch!

2. Yesterday, the worst of the storm came in @ 5:45 - 6 pm, PDT.

Today, steady rain with periodic gusts of wind, but not as bad (yet) as yesterday.

However, the local Weather service says that the worst is yet to come. They are predicting frontal passage @ 8 pm for the Willamette valley, with @ 5 pm for the coast.

Batten down the hatches, and stay tuned to either the Weather radio or local media.

Wishing a safe day and evening for all here in the PNW.

I am staying home, making chicken stock and already made spicy rice and vegetable salad. Yum.

3. Power keeps flickering...

I got 16 text messages from my UPS about it overnight (power off, power on, all within a second).

At 10 cents a message, this is adding up. Fingers crossed the power stays on, though.

4. it's really bad out there right now

Just took doggy out. He was really confused by the bluster and the puddles. Just hope all the trees stay up and the river stays out of my front yard.
