I vaguely recall a St Elsewhere episode where a dentist got addicted andgot brain damage.

For instance, if they kept it in steel containers in the garage, which eventually rusted and blew apart, shredding their home and their person in the middle of the night, then yes.
If they decided to use the other gas instead of Oxygen for breathing purposes, yes.
If they had it dropped on their head from a great height, then certainly, yes it would harm their body.
