The DU Lounge

I guess I can scratch that off my 'to-do' list.
Which of course I don't keep a 'to-do' list.
Once again people singing other peoples songs and not creating anything brand new and original. I'd find more excitement at a karoake bar - watching drunks do karoake is always entertaining!

(12,132 posts)And he insisted we stay and watch the Voice. He and his wife love it and couldn't understand why my wife and I don't but in the interest of politeness we stayed.
They got so annoyed with me because every time Cee-Lo was on screen I booed loudly and obnoxiously. (I'm still mad at him for the Imagine fiasco). Finally my son just started keeping me well stocked with beers so I would be drinking and too busy to boo.
Victory is mine!

(12,132 posts)Yeah he has a good voice. Maybe they have original stuff but they don't think it's wise to do originals this early? I doubt I will find out though - unless and until he wins or gets close and has a career outside of the show.

(95,337 posts)and in a way I kinda like that. If someone is talented why deny them simply because they aren't perfect looking. My friend, who loves the show, says there has been a few that were picked where the judges were shocked.

(3,245 posts)so I'll watch that as much as I can. After that, some of the competitions they have to get down to their final 4 are a little silly for my taste, especially the duet style sing off.
