Which food is it that you were a little apprehensive about trying, but when you did you were so glad you did?
For me, it'd be sushi.

(30,947 posts)When I was a child, my stepfather brought home some live lobsters and boiled them. I was really reluctant to try to eat one, but now I would prefer lobster to any other type of shellfish. I do not eat meat, but I eat seafood and would never turn down a lobster meal.

(585 posts)I never liked spicy foods, but something made me want to try kimchi & I was instantly hooked. I love it.

(8,217 posts)Seriously, I don't know any food that I have rejected out of hand.
Wait, I was wrong... I've rejected the following:
Dog
Cat
Rocky Mountain Oysters
Those are non-negotiable, and I will avoid them. Everything else has been fair game.

(14,400 posts)mainly because they're usually only offered in expensive fancy places and I'd hate to put up that much money for something that goes back to the kitchen. I tried them once when my mom in law was buying and she said that she wouldn't mind trying them either.
We split my appetizer and then had them bring out another.
