How does one cool down on a hot Mumbai day? A watermelon stand.

I finally conquered my fear of tropical sprue and went in whole hog.

The stands here carry whole watermelons and sell fresh-cut slices to passers-by for 10 rupees (about 15 cents). Nextdoor is a sugarcane juicer, who will take whole sugarcane, drop it into his hand-cranked masher, and squeeze out a glass's worth of juice for another 6 rupees.

Sometimes simple solutions are the best. That was definitely refreshing.

this is even better than when JCMach1 was in the UAE. Not a slap at JC, I just find India more interesting.
