Wow.
To be truthful; I'm a little pissed off at the almond milk fans for not getting the truth out on this stuff to me sooner...
Be right back. More Almond milk.

(20,176 posts)It's not great for everything, I find it's too flavorful and sweetened ones can be too sweet for baking. (Rice milk is the ideal baking vegan dairy alternative in my experience, especially if you're not making sweets. Bland, sufficiently fatty to pass for 1% or skim, thin)
It's the only thing I put on cereal though. It also pairs best in my experience with sweet baked goods like cookies and brownies. I've been working it to try for a vegan dulce-de-leche-type confection but it's not quite there.
Silk Dark Chocolate Almond Milk - OMG it's gooooood!

They need to keep that fake milk away from my Moo Cow Milk, it doesn't belong in the same section.

(32,078 posts)I love hemp milk even more. Wish it wasn't so damn expensive. But, I'm fine with the almond milk. I really like the unsweetened variety.

(11,791 posts)I love almonds. Hate their milk, though. Give me coconut or rice milk. Hemp is fine too. But almond.
And don't even get me started about almond milk in coffee.

(14,910 posts)Ill have to look into exploring the other options as well.
I've never been much of a coconut fan though. Mostly fhe texture, so maybe milk will be acceptable.

(4,033 posts)but someone down the hall drinks it & leaves their empty cartons in the trash room on a shelf. I utilize the empty cartons for garbage that I can't put down my disposal. But to you for liking it.

(3,818 posts)I also buy Hemp Milk and Coconut Milk too regularly, give those a try too as they are low in calories also and taste great. I just tried yoghurt made from coconut milk at Trader Joes last week which was pretty good.
