What's your preferred genre of TV

Personally I've always been a fan of scifi but sadly good scifi has been lacking in recent years. So I've been going back and rewatching older shows. Right now I just finished watching the Babylon 5 spin off crusade. It's a real shame that they didn't find a way to make it work. I'm about to start watching Andromeda which I never finished watching when it was on tv

I remember the x-files with fond memories but I've never bothered rewatching it. How far into DS9 are you

my core -Breaking Bad, laugh until I'm in tears -Modern Family - and touch my soul -Lost and Six Feet Under. IMHO these shows, especially Breaking Bad, have taken television to a level I never thought it would reach. I just hope that other writers, producers, studios, etc. have taken note regarding how obsessed, and rightly so, audiences have been about these programs. They aren't just "silly little television shows." They are truly an art form that examine The Human Condition
which makes us all more contemplative regarding our own lives....

I love Homeland.

It's the same with movies. My alter ego is a spy, though I of course have none of the requisite skills.

If that's not an option, I like UK Top Gear and Mythbusters. Not sure what genre that falls under.

They get all the cool cars on UK Top Gear though. US Top Gear does not even compare.

Hence, I watch comparatively little TV. The vast majority of the time it is on is basically using it as a monitor for playing DVD's ( and an occasional VHS )

sadly, very little good comedy has been made in recent years. The reruns of shows like Will & Grace are starting to get stale.
