While I was at work today down in Frankfurt, my wife went up to a town north of here, where a friend of hers lives. Her friend is a year older than we are (we are 61, my wife's friend is 62).
The two women went out strolling in the town, and one of the shops my wife's friend frequents saw there was someone else along. Pointing to my wife, the shop owners remarked, perfectly serious, "Oh, you brought your daughter along today!"
I don't know how my wife's friend took that, but my wife is still smiling (and she has one HELL of a great smile).

(53,061 posts)My wife regularly is confused either as one of my daughters or as a newly married young wife (we have been married 33 years).
When she is at the gym (2-3 hours a day) she regularly gets questioned by guys or occasionally women who are looking for candidates for their brother who are in their thirties.
When they are told that we have a 34 year old daughter they cannot control their shocked expression.
My wife has always had strikingly good looks but over the last 15 years has done yoga and some other exercises every day and the result is that she has appeared to grow younger over the last10 years.
Even relatives who haven't seen us in a few years are rather stunned.
People always ask about diet and lotions but it is her constant laughter and relaxed Buddhist perspective that has made her something of a freak of nature.
