from some man saying that my name was picked from a raffle at Publisher's Clearing House. He said that I won $1.5 million and a new car. I am not gullible. He had a heavy accent and it sounded Indian. He left a phone number. I wonder if I should call back and see what the catch is. I suppose he wants my bank account info because the money will be deposited into it. Or maybe my Social Security number. Anyone else get calls like this? Usually, I just get the e-mails from the Nigerian scamsters.

(30,947 posts)They usually come to your door with that big, fat check. And then the accent gave it away. I have been to Jamaica but couldn't identify his accent.

(14,691 posts)Asking because I once got an email stating I had won the British Lottery. I had never heard of the British Lottery much less entered it. The email also stated some cockamamie reason how I had won said lottery in spite of having never entered it. They had me going for oh, maybe 30 seconds.
