I don't consider any Bond film to be a good movie. I expect them to be exciting, fantastical romps that have their moments. Thus, I am rarely disappointed.

in "Casino Royale".

Craig is the best Bond, hands down. Connery and his bad toupee can go and whistle...

I've got the three Bond movie on my list. I have Munich ready up to watch. I might do that tonight. I'm going to have to take breaks because that is a long movie.

My son is new-ish to Bond movies (being only 13), but he's seen them all. Connery is his favorite (yes!). I realize newer films with modern special effects might hold more appeal for kids his age, but he's a pretty savvy movie watcher, so I wouldn't ascribe his liking the movie to just the mdern factor.

My husband has been a Bond fan for years, so he's definitely not just swept up in the modern action, and he said it was great. Maybe it was the big screen or maybe it was the fun of seeing it with his son, but he definitely thought it was one if the better Bond moves.

I'm sorry it wasn't your cup of tea.

For what it's worth, I totally agree with you. I like Daniel Craig as Bond a lot, but those last two movies have been just awful. Unpleasant, even.

We've been rewatching the old Connery films the last few days. Just finished You Only Live Twice.

No one will ever claim they're plot-heavy movies, but it was fun. Plus I welcome the change from womanizing asshole.
