They thought it was cold there, they have no Idea.

For the Florida thing, I agree 100% I have been trying to convince my daughter that she DOES NOT want to move back.

Got a message from my sister they were traveling and are snowed in in Branson.

out in Dripping Springs, my windshield froze over. I don't own a scraper because that kind of thing almost never happens in Houston. It does happen in Central Texas, and yet, they don't own a scraper either (they keep all of their vehicles in their garage.) I had to get the ice off with a spatula!

One of my comrades saw all of us dutifully scraping the ice off our windshields. Being from Florida, he didn't own one so he took a tire tool out of his trunk and started tapping the ice off with that. By the time he was done he had little spider webs all over his windshield. We never let him forget that.

“illegal use of high-powered fire-breathing weaponry".

I highly doubt that there is a law that specifically regulates "high powered fire-breathing weaponry". But then maybe the town leaders are avid Dungeon and Dragons role players and they just confused their world of make believe with the real one just long enough to pass such a law.

until I moved here to North Georgia. We don't get that much snow, but I would rather shovel snow than deal with the heat and humidity of Florida.

It was freakin miserable. Downed limbs and a slick, steep driveway kept us home for almost a week.
