Precious, the semi-feral kitty spent the summer down the street in a wooded area

getting fed by some other neighbors.

As soon as the weather started getting cooler, Precious started coming back here. I guess we have some premium eats for cooler weather. As you can see, she looks great. All the flea bitten bits of fur have grown back and her coat is coming in slightly red again -- I guess it is her winter coat. She just needs a good bushing. She is still stand offish, but my DH was able to pet her the other day. I still have hopes for this kitty.

In truth, I think I'm a bit nuts. My seven cats rule our world... we don't go on vacations because the cats need looking after. They are destroying the house -- ("clawing the furniture? How booooring! We go for the door frames and the fire place -- much more satisfying&quot and have the run of the house...

strays. Then I have 2 stops a day to feed colonies of cats.
My couches are in shreds and I don't care.

My kitty adopted me 6 years ago. She was a stray but not feral. To this day I wonder about her origins. She's too sweet to have been raised away from humans. I can't imagine how she could have been abandoned either but maybe she was.

he lives on our deck now, instead of under it. He has a nice warm box and even got an xmas present. It was so much fun watching him play with his catnip fish. He was like a kid at xmas...

here are some pics of our beauties
