My current vehicle won't pass inspection, and the repairs would cost somewhere in the neighborhood of 8X its value.

Heading out to the local lot to find a bargain. Everyone's favorite year-end activity.

4. Well, I ran into some better than expected luck

The lot gave me about 10X more on the trade-in than I was expecting, and they had a nice Impala comfortably within my price range, so it could have gone a lot worse.

2. I'd rather take a beating than go car buying...

Even if I had the money required to pay cash for the asking price, I hate dealing with them.

I love my old truck and every time I drive it I say sweet supportive words to keep her hanging on a bit longer.
