And they seemed to have been a catalyst for getting Dylan to start giving a fuck again, which was nice.

What I've always wanted to know is: on "Tweeter and the Monkeyman," is Dylan making fun of Springsteen, or doing a friendly homage? The song doesn't seem particularly mean-spirited, but Dylan's always come across as being pretty catty, so I wonder.

I've always thought that Stevie Ray Vaughan's version of Little Wing (released posthumously on The Sky is Crying) was better than Jimi Hendrix's version. I know it's Jimi's song, and so did SRV. The story goes that Vaughan refused to release his take on Little Wing because it would have been a disservice to Hendrix.

Hendrix, I would only put maybe Robin Trower on a similar level to SRV. Listen to any live version of "Bridge of Sighs" if you don't believe me.
