There aren't a whole lot of songs that feature the cowbell. So you are doing all of us a disservice so remember ... always perform the hell out of it (the cowbell). I got a fever, and the only prescription is more cowbell.

On Edit ... BTW what neighborhood do you live in where cowbells are a problem?

My mom used to ring me home for dinner with one when I was out playing. I wish I had that thing, fond memories, and she doesn't know what happened to it.

on horses to serve as a "lead" sound. We had a BLM burro that liked to stay with the cows, so I put a bell on her. Those brushy longhorns probably didn't appreciate it. LOL
