This does not bode well.

Miz t. is reorganizing the kitchen.
"I'm fed up with not being able to find stuff in here."
Amen

Over the 20 years we've lived in this house I've become accustomed to the rather haphazard location of kitchen (and non-kitchen) items.

Some knives are in a block holder, many are in this drawer, but some are in that drawer over there.

Mixing bowls lived in three places, but I could usually rummage through and find what I was looking for.

I knew that one drawer held mostly nail polish and a couple of screwdrivers.
Miz t. does her nails in the kitchen where the light's good.
And it's fairly easy to clean nail polish from Formica.

The screwdrivers are for tightening the cabinet hinges that seem to loosen up every week or so.
I eventually supplied her with one flat blade and one Phillips head after finding a few stainless flatware knives tips damaged from being used as screwdrivers.

I await the final reorganization with some trepidation.
It'll be a while before I can find stuff again.
Maybe we should make a chart?

She is a fine and wonderful woman who I have loved for near 50 years.
She has many admirable qualities.
'A place for everything...' is not one.
I can live with it.
I have.
But...
