of judging their remarks at the time. All I can do is use all my faculties to 'hear' them. Then I sometimes regret the total empathy I have given them, when I have had time to go over the conversation hours afterwards. How would you tell everybody in your life that this is an issue? It has been used by a psychopath in my past to make it look like I believed certain things. I'm now not so naïve that I am never completely unskeptical of people anymore. But this seems to have been an issue in the last week....that I agreed with something I don't actually agree with.

Do you find your mind wandering and not really listening?

somebody is saying if they have a long story to say. I visually build a model in my mind as I am listening. So I don't have the capacity to judge what is being said because my mind is busy building a picture. I am a very empathetic person too. Which adds to it. I don't know how to say exactly to people that I have this disability, so I can give the wrong advice and it has been used against me.

Emotional context yes, the words no.

I can recognize the sound of an engine that is slightly off, I can figure out what the dogs are about. But tell me more than three things to pick up at the grocery store and I'm hopeless.

Write it down.

things down in a day planner like I used to. Except for the grocery list, I‘m kind of winging it right now. I have a desire to be organic and practice remembering these days.
