Stocking up prior to a big snow.

Have you noticed the customer rush at the store to purchase bread, milk, and toilet paper just before the snow is about to arrive? That toilet paper will likely be necessary after consuming just bread and milk for a few days.

but yeah, when a storm is coming I usually make sure that there are essentials in the house:

coffee & creamer
eggs
a hearty meal that can be cooked slowly in my dutch oven (pot roast or stew)
crunchy snacks
soft drinks
toilet paper
candles
alcohol and cigarettes
