I've had dentures since 1978, so it's been an interesting journey figuring out ways of adapting to them.

I can do lettuce if it's the lower crispy part. The upper part is hopeless.

And pizza...well, my strategy for that often disgusts other people. First, I remove the top cheese/veggie layer. I eat the crust separately, then deal with the GOOD part...the cheese...last. All with my fingers.

mmmm...

Didn't take care of my teeth.

So you have some implants? Hopefully they're lowers. Lower dentures absolutely suck pond scum.

The prepackaged takoyaki usually come frozen, so they have to be thawed completely at first, then heated just right, preferably in a takoyaki grill. Unfortunately, I don't have such a grill so mine are never as good as the street vendors' wares.

At any rate, here is a recipe for home-made takoyaki (in Japanese)

With a New York style pizza, it's not necessary, as well as sacrilegious.
