Reminds me - about a year ago, I was walking the dog and ran across what appeared to be a discarded butt plug in the middle of the sidewalk. I was horrified that someone was nasty enough to leave it where children might run across it. I certainly didn't want to touch it, but when I went home I thought about calling the management office so they could remove it. I went out to take a second look, just to be sure.

Glad I did. It was a misshapen mushroom. Man, I was soooo glad I didn't call the office.
