Asking for a small favor from regulars in ths group.

It was suggested to me that I also post here--wasn't sure if one GD posting was enough. But I am trying to get myself out of a homeless situation. Have spent night already in church shelter--on floor.

I started a thread in GD to see if there people are able to help. Many have.

I am currently in Nor-Cal. I have offer for housing in the short term until I can get back on my feet. The other day, I started an account with Paypal since Wishadoo is down TFN. I have found many caring people here as there are some funds in the Paypal acct.

I halfway to being able to getting a truck so I can move to New Mexico. I am told it should offer many opportunities for me. I am comfortable with going there based on environment. I feel I am so close to ending this nightmare. I do not want to have to live in a shelter--if I can avoid it. I know times are hard for many. But I do not want to ask for the world. I have found some new friends who I now consider family (was nervous that this assistance would be rejected since I've never done this before).

If you are able to help, please PM me. I will go back to Wishadoo and see if that is running, but for now I wanted to throw this out(as was suggested) to the Lounge. There is a light at the end of this dark tunnel, but it has been slow. I'll hit send now and see what happens. Thank you for all you do.

3. Teaching and Training.

Worked as English teacher in China (most recent), wanted to learn the language more to develop second language skill. Worked as Vocational trainer for developmentally disabled: (career planning and employment coaching in additional to on-the-job training), good computer skills in Word, Excel(a bit rusty), Power Point, and Publisher--with some abilities in Photoshop, quality communication skills in writing and research: (previous career in media as Reporter and News Anchor for radio), but did do sales in radio, but flopped--just to see if I could be good at it.

Can do some grunt work, i.e painting interior/exterior prep etc, fence building and concrete, but back is saying I'm getting too old for this s***.

I hate to ask for anything. Not in my DNA. But feel I can since people here understand. I have to go to shelter tonight and I don't want to.
