Mine are like puppies and come to greet me when I drive up, and the indoor ones are at the door to greet me as well.

Not all cats are alike.

If we've been gone on vacation they great us at the door and then start running around like wild kitties.

tying my shoes. When I come home, he is right up against the door waiting for me too. He even comes and greets me when I wake up every day.

He gets very excited to see me after I've been gone all day. My husband (who works from home) says he waits at the top of the stairs during the time I usually arrive.

Most of the cats I've owned come to the door to see us after we've been gone a while. They don't jump up and make noise like dogs, but they do seem pleased, rub on our legs, purr and want to be petted/picked up.

It's the only time she actually permits me to pick her up (she often jumps into my arms). But not always- sometimes she ignored my return and yawns much like the cat in the video.

to meet me at the door, tails high, when I come home - even if it's not feeding time. I think they are actually glad to see me.

upon our return the cat would go crazy and run all over the house.

The cat we have now just meows loudly for about ten minutes basically scolding us for being away.

I can hear him as I walk up to the door.

In addition, he greeted my boyfriend (whom he hadn't seen in over a year) as if he had been gone only hours. By the end, the cat was clearly favoring my boyfriend over me.

She tries to act aloof. But every time I come home after being gone anywhere from one day to two weeks she can't contain herself when I return. She is all lovey dovey and pets me more than I pet her.

She clearly belongs to my wife and daughter and ignores me virtually all the time when we are all home. But when I return from any absence longer than 24 hours, I am the only one she wants to greet and gets excited over.

When I came home, the cat sitter was sitting on the bed packing up to leave, and the Kidley was next to her.

When Kidley saw me, he did his "happy cat" move, which is rolling around with his paws up next to his face.
