At my brother's house, we have seen a couple of foxes and a family of 8 deer parading in front of his window.
It's not the National Geographic finding the coelacanth in its natural habitat, but for looking out the window while sipping tea in my brother's kitchen, it'll do just fine.

(149,580 posts)That sounds just lovely. I have often wished that we could see deer from our windows, but alas, is not to be!
Enjoy the lovely view!

(2,340 posts)about a dozen or so of the ones on my property that eat everything in sight. It would be so wonderful if I just saw one occasionally. They've become quite brazen as well; the other night I had a hard time rousting a young buck out of the way so I could get to my car.
Somehow "excuse me" didn't work.

(54,334 posts)I would have thought one had to go farther out for such scenes.
The snow is still coming down, though. I hope it stops by Thursday, when I'm supposed to return to Europe.

In fact, I was out jogging one morning, and a fox was a little ways ahead of me, he turned around, looked at me, as is to say "Yeah, I'm a fox..." and carried on walking....I was more scared of it, than it was of me...
