I feel bad for the Houston area. They will get hit worse.

Weare not equipped for this type of weather. I know people laugh... but we have no idea how to drive or get along in this type of thing!

TIPS:

When it gets icy or foggy or snowy, the trick is to slow down, optimally to 20MPH but, if not, as slow as you can get away with.

Stuff newspaper into the cracks/frames of your windows.

Roll up towels or blankets and wedge them into the gaps under front and back doors.

Overnight, turn your taps to a slight drip to keep the pipes from freezing up.
