They're on tonight. Here's a run down of who's gonna be there and who's up for a Grammy. I'm looking forward to a few of the performances, don't really care who wins or not.

(37,993 posts)Granted, the terms tend to be outmoded considering extended mixes, digital media and the sad fact that almost nobody listens to entire albums anymore.

(10,622 posts)I have various singles on my work computer for background noise, but when I'm really wanting to listen to music, I put on an album.

(14,691 posts)the Lifetime Achievement award being given to Paul & Ringo. I hope they have them on sooner rather than later. I'm a geezer after all.

(7,949 posts)Ringo's performance was very moving. Can't wait for the Achievement award. Paul got one already w/David Groh.

(14,691 posts)I'll be at The Fest for Beatles Fans' 40th Anniversary Celebration of their arrival in the U.S. 50 years ago. (The first Fest was in 1974.) I'm trying to figure out how to record it and watch later on the computer.

Laura PourMeADrink
(42,770 posts)ruined her performance to me. I kept swinging in the air "get off the stage !!"

(53,936 posts)My partner said...how much better can it get? Married by the Queen (Latifah) and serenaded by Madonna!
Raffi Ella
(4,465 posts)Yeah, how lucky were those couples?? what a story they'll have to tell.

(4,465 posts)The album is great but it's more of the same. I think they should've given it to the Heist for 'Same Love' alone.

(12,296 posts)They did the music for that film, and have been around for several years on the techno/alt scene.

(5,865 posts)If he wasn't on another CBS show... would he even be on? I aint feeling these grammys. Can't Jay Z and Beyonce just stay home and order a Pizza. Why do they have to be "all that", all the time? Farrel Williams does wear that brim with plenty of conviction. He is ridiculously talented. And Daft PUnk is the bomb.
Raffi Ella
(4,465 posts)rofl. Seriously. TMI: and then you see Beyonce later in the audience with her pretty princess smile and Jay sitting beside her all uncomfortable and defiant like "yeah we just rapped about my surfboard, what". That performance shoulda stayed private.
SoapBox
(18,791 posts)I actually don't even have time for music (partner still knows who these people are) but there were some spectacular performances.
wow.

(7,759 posts)"artists" had REAL talent. At least Taylor Swift didn't win....that's a relief.
S_E_Fudd
(1,295 posts)Not a Taylor Swift fan...probably too old...but that performance last night was really very good...her music seems to be maturing...
