Saw the Eagles last night.

Holy crap - amazing show. I would highly recommend if they're in your area. They played a full 3+ hour set divided into three sections, and they told a lot of stories about how the band was formed and they first came together, the subsequent break up, and their reunion and so on and so forth. The first set alone was worth the price of admission because they played a bunch of acoustic versions of songs and then told stories about the band's origins. Oh and Joe Walsh fucking rocks!

This was the set list:

Set 1:

Saturday Night
Train Leaves Here This Morning
Peaceful Easy Feeling
Witchy Woman
Doolin-Dalton
Tequila Sunrise
Doolin-Dalton / Desperado
Already Gone
The Best Of My Love
Lyin' Eyes
One Of These Nights
Take It To The Limit

Set 2:

Pretty Maids All In A Row
New Kid In Town
In The City (Joe Walsh)
The Long Run
I Can't Tell You Why
Those Shoes
Heartache Tonight
Life's Been Good (Joe Walsh)
Funk #49 (James Gang)
Life In The Fast Lane

Encore:

Hotel California
Take It Easy
Desperado

What did he ever do to them? And where did they get off treating him like he was just a sideman, just an employee?

Not too mellow, dudes.

and they screwed him over. They got greedy, basically. Guy was a rippin' genius with a guitar, and the Eagles as a whole, slid backward after they canned him. (proof: Long Road Out of Eden)

when we saw them a year or two ago. I loved that they gave Joe some time to shine with his stuff too - He's my favorite Eagle. lol

I am 87% sure they did Henley's Dirty Laundry too when I saw them...Tickets were crazy but I figured I may not ever get to see them again so we went. (Not that they won't tour again, just that I'm not always gonna be flush. They came at just the right time last time around.)

I was lucky that the HR Director of my company at the time was a huge fan (like me) and let's just say, there were a lot of perks in the executive suite so he decided those of us in the trenches needed a perk as well. He bought 10 seats in the "Golden Circle" which gave us rooms in the hotel where the arena was located and breakfast the next day. We had seats on the 5th row dead center, I told everyone I could die happy, I spent three hours in the same room with Don Henley. And yes... Joe Walsh rocks!!!!!!!

Glad you had fun!!!!!
