Life is so valuable, my rear tail feathers! When my adult daughter applied for medical care with the statle of Washington she was told that she was $3 over the limit to acquire medical help. Her income was $700.00 per month. 2 months later she died from a condition that with medical care she would still be alive. Her death left a 14 year old without a mother. My daughter's life was worth $3.00, damn cheap in my book. And then I see the anti abortion group demonstrating. Where in the hell were you when my daughter's life was at stake? Oh, I see she wasn't pre-born. How deeply angry I am at this nation, the state of Washington. wish I had never been born in this country. Don't tell me to go to some undeveloped country, you damn conservatives who would never face a death like this, personally. At least if she had been born in Denmark, Norway, Germany, etc she would still be alive and a 14 yr old would never have faced her mother's death. Oh, and a doctor's office phoned me a week after her death (from a collection agency) looking for money.
Things like this happen because the basic human needs are not met and this nation pretends that it is the greatest thing on the planet, what a laugh!

(22,845 posts)I am so sorry for your loss
and I agree with you 1000% that these hypocrites only care about fetuses, not about born humans, or soldiers, or veterans, or the homeless, the sick, the suffering.
They would rather let a woman suffering a miscarriage die than allow medical people to help her. This is not respect for life. This is sick twisted pick-and-choose-the-life you-care-about.

(108,959 posts)Yes, the people who pretend to be so concerned with the life of a fetus and yet have no concern for the living humans around us are terrible people.

I've had it up to here with them.
My profound sympathies. My adult daughter also has health problems - not life threatening, but can't work. Unfortunately, she's in Florida, where Gov. Rick Scott makes sure she can't get Medicaid, either. I do what I can, but it's not enough.
