I remember asking priests, my mom and others that very question.
Their response was, "He always was and always will be"
Well, even at a young age, I just couldn't wrap my head around always was. To me, there had to be a beginning for everything, that was simple logic and when I continued to question, the response was always "faith"
Again, it felt like an excuse to define something illogical.
It was around then, I must have been about 12 or 13 at the time, that I decided religion and god was a crock.

got me no answer and a trip to visit our friendly (yep that's what I mean) principal.
