Def Leppard was more like a poppy NWOBHM band. Guns N' Roses was just awesomeness (at least on Appetite).

Metallica and Iron Maiden were metal. Hair wasn't an issue in how I defined styles.

At any rate, my tastes leaned far more towards the first two bands than to Crue or Poison, and to Maiden a bit more than Metallica. G&R weren't bad.
