The Velveteen Ocelot
(115,587 posts)I read it recently; it's quite good. http://www.amazon.com/The-Returned-Jason-Mott/dp/1480529907 The plot is a bit similar to the French series, but the ABC TV show is based directly on the Mott book. I might watch it. Starts March 9.

(50,566 posts)I can't imagine the pain people who have lost a child feel when they see that. The sad, stark reality is that kids do not return from the dead. It seems cruel to show something like that.
The Velveteen Ocelot
(115,587 posts)the child came back from the dead, kind of, but eventually it didn't work out. But I doubt anyone who had actually lost a child would watch the show, or read the book.
