A question re: St. Valentine's Day...

I'm a 48 y/o red blooded American man who has never received a valentine card, flower, gift or even had a free drink on V-Day; yet if I was to skip giving a gift to my girl I would be considered a heel.
It seems like V-Day is strictly a day for women and yet a woman has NEVER given me a present.
Wassup with dat? Why is the pressure only on the man? And God forbid she doesn't like the gift or think it is worthy enough. Then you're just a cheap, broke SHITheel.

It is my opinion that Valentines Day is centered on women and that men are left out in the cold.

As described, you have an unequal relationship, at least insofar as Valentine's Day is concerned. But the fault, dear Brutus, is not in our stars, but in ourselves that we underlings. A flaw in your lady cannot be held as an indictment of all womankind.
